Lausanne secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Yverdon Sport in a thrilling match at the Stade de la Tuilière in Lausanne. The game, part of the 23rd round of the 2024 Swiss Super League, saw the home side dominate possession (59%) and create more scoring opportunities (14 shots, 6 on target). Ajdini opened the scoring in the 27th minute, assisted by Sanches, who extended the lead just five minutes later with Okou providing the assist. A Baradji own goal in the 36th minute gave Lausanne a comfortable 3-0 lead before halftime. However, Tavares pulled one back for Yverdon Sport in the 45th minute, with an assist from Baradji. In the second half, Sanches sealed the victory with his second goal of the game in the 72nd minute. Despite the defeat, Yverdon Sport showed commendable fighting spirit, generating 9 shots (6 on target) and committing a significant number of fouls (21). Baradji’s yellow card in the 16th minute was the only caution of the match. The referee was Lionel Tschudi from Switzerland.
