FC Basel Edges Out Lausanne in Thrilling Swiss Super League Encounter
FC Basel secured a 3-2 victory over Lausanne in a captivating match at the Stade de la Tuilière in Lausanne on May 14th, 2025. The Championship Round – 3 clash, officiated by Sandro Schärer, saw both sides trade blows throughout the 90 minutes.
Lausanne took an early lead through J. Roche’s goal in the 13th minute. However, Kevin quickly leveled the score for FC Basel in the 19th minute, before adding a second just eleven minutes later, assisted by B. Traore. B. Traore further extended Basel’s lead in the 55th minute. Lausanne fought back valiantly, scoring two goals in quick succession at the 78th minute through M. K. Sene, assisted by K. Koindredi, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Basel’s triumph.
