Lausanne Defeats FC Astana in Goal-Filled Match
Lausanne, Switzerland – The Stade de la Tuilière witnessed a vibrant match between Lausanne and FC Astana, corresponding to the 3rd Qualifying Round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. The home team secured the victory with a final score of 3 to 1, in a game marked by intensity and opportunities for both sides.
Lausanne opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a goal from J. Roche, assisted by B. Lekoueiry, demonstrating good offensive connection. Before the end of the first half, M. K. Sene extended Lausanne’s lead in the 42nd minute.
In the second half, Lausanne continued to press and A. Ajdini scored the third goal in the 72nd minute, thanks to an assist from M. Poaty, solidifying the Swiss team’s victory. FC Astana managed to score in the 90th minute through I. Basic, but it was already too late to change the course of the match.
Although ball possession was equal (50% for each team), Lausanne showed greater effectiveness in front of goal, with 15 total shots, 6 of them on target. FC Astana, on the other hand, made 13 shots, of which 4 were on target. The match was marked by 25 fouls in total, with 9 committed by Lausanne and 16 by FC Astana.
