Mallorca suffered a heartbreaking 4-3 defeat against Las Palmas at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. The match, played on November 23rd, 2024, as part of La Liga’s matchday 14, was a high-intensity affair with numerous cards. Las Palmas dominated possession (62%) and were more clinical in attack, although Mallorca held their own.
Goals came in the second half. Dani Rodríguez put Mallorca ahead in the 46th minute, followed by a goal from R. Navarro in the 56th. Las Palmas responded with a goal from D. Essugo in the 77th and a penalty converted by F. Silva in the 83rd, turning the game around. In the closing stages, J. Mojica scored for Mallorca in the 90th minute, but it was too little, too late.
