Shimizu S-pulse Secures Victory Against Kyoto Sanga in Kameoka
Kameoka, Japan – In a match held at the Sanga Stadium by Kyocera, Shimizu S-pulse defeated Kyoto Sanga with a score of 2 to 0 in matchday 30 of the J1 League. The match, refereed by Koki Nagamine, was marked by intensity in midfield and opportunities created by both teams.
Despite Kyoto Sanga dominating possession with 57%, Shimizu S-pulse proved more effective in front of goal. The first goal came in the 12th minute through T. Takahashi, who made up for a missed penalty with a play that culminated in a goal. Kyoto Sanga tried to react and created several chances, but the Shimizu S-pulse defense proved solid.
In the second half, Shimizu S-pulse extended their lead in the 75th minute with a goal by S. Yajima, assisted by S. Takagi. Despite their 17 shots on goal, Kyoto Sanga failed to convert any of their opportunities. The match was also marked by yellow cards, with J. Sumiyoshi and S. Hasukawa cautioned for Shimizu S-pulse, and Y. Suzuki for Kyoto Sanga. Ultimately, Shimizu S-pulse’s effectiveness was key to securing the victory on their visit to Kameoka.
