Kyoto Sanga Crushes Gamba Osaka at Sanga Stadium
Kameoka, Japan – In a match held at the Sanga Stadium by Kyocera, Kyoto Sanga convincingly defeated Gamba Osaka with a solid victory. The match, corresponding to matchday 22 of the J1 League, 2025 season, was officiated by Polish referee Lukasz Kuzma.
Kyoto Sanga proved to be superior from the start, seizing their opportunities and showcasing great efficiency in attack. Marco Tulio emerged as the star of the match, scoring two goals in the 17th and 25th minutes, both assisted by T. Hirato. S. Fukuda extended Kyoto Sanga’s lead in the 52nd minute, assisted by Marco Tulio.
Gamba Osaka, although dominating possession with 59%, failed to convert their chances. I. Jebali scored for Gamba Osaka in the 88th minute, but it was not enough to change the course of the match.
The match was also characterized by the intensity in the game, reflected in the yellow cards shown to S. Nakatani and T. Kishimoto of Gamba Osaka, and K. Sato of Kyoto Sanga.
Despite Gamba Osaka’s greater possession, Kyoto Sanga was more effective in front of goal, displaying a more direct and forceful game. The victory consolidates Kyoto Sanga’s position in the league, while Gamba Osaka will have to analyze their mistakes to improve in the upcoming matches.
