Krylia Sovetov Rout Lokomotiv in Samara
Samara, Russia – Krylia Sovetov thrashed Lokomotiv Moscow 5-1 in a thrilling match at the Solidarnost Samara Arena. The game, part of the 22nd round of the Russian Premier League, was played on March 28th, 2025, under the watchful eye of referee Sergey Ivanov.
Krylia Sovetov dominated from the outset, scoring two early goals. Dmitri Oroz opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, followed by a goal from Ivan Sergeev in the 4th minute. Lokomotiv tried to respond but received a yellow card for Karpukas in the 31st minute. Krylia Sovetov extended their lead with goals from Ivan Oleynikov (32′) and Guram Bijl (40′). Lokomotiv received another yellow card, this time for Lucas Fasson in the 43rd minute.
Despite the commanding lead, Lokomotiv scored an own goal by Bijl in the 62nd minute, but it was too little, too late. Sergeev scored his second goal of the match in the 49th minute, sealing the victory for the home side.
While Lokomotiv enjoyed more possession (61%), Krylia Sovetov was more clinical in front of goal, registering 12 shots on target compared to Lokomotiv’s 4. Krylia Sovetov committed 11 fouls and received one yellow card, while Lokomotiv committed 15 fouls and received two yellow cards.
