Kortrijk Edges Out Cercle Brugge in Thrilling Contest
The Guldensporenstadion in Kortrijk hosted a dramatic encounter between KV Kortrijk and Cercle Brugge in matchday 27 of the Jupiler Pro League. The game, played on February 23rd, 2025, ended in a 1-2 victory for the home side, a result that belied Kortrijk’s dominance in terms of shots on goal.
Kortrijk controlled large portions of the match, registering 11 shots, 4 of which were on target, compared to Cercle Brugge’s single shot on goal that found the back of the net. Despite Cercle Brugge enjoying slightly more possession (53%), Kortrijk’s clinical finishing proved decisive.
