Legia Warszawa Claims Decisive Victory in Kielce
Kielce, Poland – In a match held at the EXBUD Arena, Legia Warszawa showcased their strength by defeating Korona Kielce in a game belonging to the second round of the Ekstraklasa regular season. While the team from Warsaw had slightly less possession (47% against Korona’s 53%), they made better use of their goal-scoring opportunities.
The score was opened early, in the 9th minute, with a goal by J. Nsame assisted by M. Alfarela, giving Legia the initial lead. Despite Korona Kielce’s insistence, generating a total of 18 shots (although only 2 on target) and forcing 12 corners, they failed to convert their chances. R. Morishita of Legia received a yellow card in the 31st minute.
Legia Warszawa extended their lead at the beginning of the second half, in the 47th minute, with a goal by M. Alfarela assisted by V. Bichakhchyan. Korona Kielce fought to react, but Legia’s defense remained firm. Despite committing more fouls (15 against Korona’s 8), Legia managed to control the pace of the game and secure the victory on the road. Referee Szymon Marciniak officiated the match.
