Thrilling Match in Kashiwa Ends with Victory for Kyoto Sanga
Kashiwa, Japan – A vibrant and action-packed match took place at the SANKYO FRONTIER Kashiwa Stadium, where Kyoto Sanga defeated Kashiwa Reysol in a clash corresponding to matchday 21 of the J1 League 2025. The match, officiated by referee Futoshi Nakamura, made it clear that effectiveness is key.
Despite Kashiwa Reysol’s dominance in ball possession (66%), Kyoto Sanga made better use of their opportunities, resulting in an important victory. Kashiwa Reysol generated a higher number of shots (19 against 10), but their aim was not on their side.
Kashiwa Reysol opened the scoring in the 19th minute thanks to a goal by Y. Koizumi, assisted by T. Koyamatsu. However, the local joy was short-lived, as T. Yonemoto equalized for Kyoto Sanga in the 24th minute. Y. Kakita put Kashiwa Reysol ahead again in the 31st minute.
The second half was a carousel of emotions. S. Nagasawa tied the game for Kyoto Sanga in the 54th minute, after an assist from T. Hara. W. Harada returned the lead to Kashiwa Reysol in the 74th minute, but Kyoto Sanga did not give up. S. Kawasaki sealed the victory for Kyoto Sanga in the 84th minute, with an assist from M. Okugawa.
