Karviná Edges Out Pardubice in Close Encounter
Městský Stadión in Karviná hosted a thrilling victory for the home team in matchday 16 of the Czech Liga. Despite Pardubice controlling possession (54%), Karviná proved more clinical in attack. A goal by D. Planka in the 10th minute, assisted by G. Botos, was enough to secure the three points. Although L. Ezeh had a goal disallowed for a foul in the 44th minute, the home side held on to their lead. The match was punctuated by numerous fouls, with 17 committed by each side, resulting in two yellow cards for Pardubice (T. Polyak and D. Simek).
