Junior Delivers a Crushing Defeat to Llaneros in Barranquilla
Barranquilla, Colombia – In a match held at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez, Junior demonstrated their superiority by convincingly defeating Llaneros with a score of 4 to 0. From the opening whistle, the home team imposed their rhythm, dominating ball possession with 59% compared to Llaneros’ 41%.
Junior’s offense was relentless. Just two minutes into the game, G. Paiva opened the scoring with a goal, assisted by an inspired J. Enamorado. The Enamorado-Paiva duo continued to create danger, and in the 34th minute, J. Guerrero extended the lead thanks to an assist from, again, Enamorado.
The match became complicated for Llaneros in the 41st minute, when Angulo received a red card, leaving his team with a numerical disadvantage. The end of the first half was filled with tension, with yellow cards for Y. Goez and F. Meza of Llaneros.
