Junior Edges Out Independiente Medellín in Tight Match in Barranquilla
Junior de Barranquilla secured a 1-0 victory over Independiente Medellín in a thrilling encounter at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez, in the 12th round of the 2025 Águila League. The only goal of the game arrived in the 9th minute, courtesy of Carlos Bacca, assisted by Tomás Gutiérrez.
Despite Independiente Medellín dominating possession (60%) and shots (18 attempts, 5 on target), Junior defended effectively and capitalized on their single clear-cut chance.
