FC Volendam Crushes Jong PSV in Eindhoven
FC Volendam secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Jong PSV at the PSV Campus De Herdgang in Eindhoven on November 22nd, 2024. The match, part of the 16th round of the Eerste Divisie and officiated by M. Vos, saw Volendam dominate the offensive play.
Ragnar Muhren scored a hat-trick (4th, 20th, and 27th minutes), with assists from Veerman and Ould-Chikh, virtually sealing the win in the first half. Jari Jacobs added another goal before halftime (42nd minute), also assisted by Veerman. Despite Jong PSV’s Bawuah receiving a red card in the 73rd minute and Taha Abed scoring in the 58th minute, the home team couldn’t overcome Volendam’s significant lead. Despite Jong PSV’s 68% possession, Volendam were more clinical, managing 11 shots with 6 on target, compared to Jong PSV’s 9 shots with only 2 on target.
