Japan Shows Absolute Superiority Against Indonesia in World Cup Qualifier
Suita, Japan – In a match dominated from start to finish, the Japanese national football team demonstrated clear superiority over Indonesia, sealing a resounding victory at the Panasonic Stadium Suita in a match valid for the Asian qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
From the opening whistle, Japan imposed its game with an overwhelming 71% possession and constant pressure on the Indonesian defense. The first goal came early, in the 15th minute, when D. Kamada, assisted by S. Mito, opened the scoring. Shortly after, T. Kubo extended the lead in the 19th minute, after an excellent collective play culminated with an assist from S. Machino.
Before the break, Kamada once again made his presence felt on the scoreboard, in the 45th minute, with a goal assisted by Kubo, consolidating the Japanese dominance. The second half was no different, with Japan maintaining total control of the match. R. Morishita scored in the 55th minute, followed by S. Machino in the 58th minute, both goals built with precise assists. The Japanese goal feast culminated with M. Hosoya’s goal in the 80th minute, assisted by K. Nakamura.
Indonesia, meanwhile, was outmatched in all facets of the game, failing to generate a single shot on target. Ball possession was limited to 29%, reflecting the Indonesian team’s inability to create scoring opportunities.
