Jagiellonia Białystok staged a thrilling comeback against TSC Backa Topola in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League Knockout Round Playoffs, played at the Bialystok City Stadium in Białystok. The match, refereed by Allard Lindhout of the Netherlands, ended in an exciting 3-1 victory for the Polish team.
TSC Backa Topola took the lead in the 17th minute with a goal from Lazetic, assisted by Milosavljevic. However, Jagiellonia responded quickly. Hansen equalized in the 8th minute, thanks to an assist from Imaz. The first half was intense, with several yellow cards for both teams. Skrzypczak (Jagiellonia), Radin and Stanic (TSC Backa Topola) received yellow cards before halftime, joined by Ebosse (Jagiellonia) just before the whistle.
In the second half, Jagiellonia took control of the game. Imaz scored the 2-1 in the 70th minute, assisted by Villar Miki. The Polish team sealed the victory with an own goal from Radojevic in the 76th minute. Despite TSC Backa Topola’s greater possession (62%), Jagiellonia was more effective in attack, with 13 shots (7 on target) compared to the Serbian team’s 9 (only 1 on target). The match ended with a 3-1 score in favor of Jagiellonia, who demonstrated a great ability to react and secure the win.
