Sanfrecce Hiroshima edges out Tokyo Verdy in a tight match
Sanfrecce Hiroshima secured a narrow victory over Tokyo Verdy in a J1 League match played at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Chōfu, Japan.
The encounter was characterized by intensity and the fight for ball control, with Sanfrecce Hiroshima dominating possession with 57% compared to Tokyo Verdy’s 43%. Despite this, Tokyo Verdy created more goal opportunities, with 14 shots on goal compared to 11 for their opponents, although only 7 of them were on target.
