Independiente Edges Out Atlético Tucumán in Thrilling Match
Avellaneda, December 10, 2024. – Independiente defeated Atlético Tucumán 2-1 in a thrilling match at the Estadio Libertadores de América, corresponding to matchday 26 of the Argentine Professional League. The game was marked by the early expulsion of an Atlético Tucumán player and the home team’s dominance in possession and shots on goal.
Independiente opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a penalty goal scored by Gastón Avalos. Atlético Tucumán pulled one back in the 65th minute with a goal from Mateo Bajamich, but Independiente sealed the victory with a goal from Facundo Loyola in the 75th minute.
