Santa Fe Stuns Independiente Medellín at Atanasio Girardot
Medellín, Colombia – In a hard-fought match at the Estadio Atanasio Girardot, Santa Fe emerged victorious against Independiente Medellín with a final score of 2 to 1. The match, part of the final quadrangular round of the Colombian Primera A Apertura, was officiated by Bismark Elias Santiago Pitalua.
Independiente Medellín dominated possession with 67%, demonstrating superiority in controlling the game, however, the team from the capital was more effective in the finish. F. Fydriszewski opened the scoring for the home side in the 18th minute, assisted by F. Chaverra. However, Santa Fe reacted and H. Mosquera equalized in the 31st minute, assisted by V. Moreno.
