Independiente del Valle Overpowers River Plate in Thrilling Encounter
Sangolquí, Ecuador – Independiente del Valle secured a 2-4 victory over River Plate in a captivating CONMEBOL Libertadores 2025 Group Stage match at the Estadio Banco Guayaquil. The game, officiated by Piero Maza from Chile, was marked by high intensity and numerous scoring opportunities for both sides.
The home team started strongly, netting two goals in the first half through a Cristian Spinelli brace, assisted by Richard Ibarra and Lorenzo Loor in the 24th and 30th minutes respectively.
