Quito, Ecuador – A tension-filled capital city derby between Independiente del Valle and LDU de Quito ended goalless at the Estadio Banco Guayaquil. The match, corresponding to the third round of the Championship Group in the Liga Pro 2025, was officiated by referee Anthony Diaz.
Independiente del Valle dominated possession with 52% and generated a greater number of scoring opportunities, accumulating 20 total shots, although only 4 of them were on target. LDU de Quito, on the other hand, appeared more conservative in attack, with 10 shots, 3 of which required the intervention of the opposing goalkeeper.
