Quito, Ecuador – In a hard-fought match at the Estadio Banco Guayaquil, Independiente del Valle and Barcelona SC drew, in a game full of incidents. Ball possession was closely contested, with a slight advantage for Independiente del Valle (52%), while Barcelona SC held 48%.
The first half passed without goals, but with a yellow card for X. Arreaga of Barcelona SC in the 39th minute. The second half started strongly for Independiente del Valle, with a goal by D. Guagua in the 47th minute, assisted by E. Pata, giving the home team the lead.
