Platense Upsets Huracan in Professional League Final
Santiago del Estero, Argentina – Platense secured a victory in a hard-fought match against Huracan in the final of the Argentine Professional League, held at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades. Despite Huracan’s territorial dominance, with 62% ball possession, it was Platense who managed to capitalize on the key opportunity. The only goal of the match, scored by G. Mainero in the 64th minute, after a play without assistance, was enough to secure the triumph for the Calamar team.
The match was characterized by a physical game, evidenced by the numerous fouls committed by both teams (12 by Huracan and 20 by Platense).
