Huachipato Stuns Universidad de Chile at Home
Talcahuano, Chile – In a thrilling match held at Estadio Huachipato, Huachipato overcame Universidad de Chile with a score of 2 to 1. The match, valid for the second matchday of the 2026 Primera División, left local fans celebrating an important victory.
The match began with an early goal by Eduardo Vargas for Universidad de Chile in the 13th minute, after a play without assist. However, Huachipato responded with determination. M. Gutierrez equalized the score in the 35th minute. The first half ended with a yellow card for C. Sepúlveda of Huachipato.
The second half of the match was intense. L. Altamirano missed a penalty for Huachipato in the 76th minute, but R. Malanca sealed the victory for the locals with a goal in the 81st minute. There was another yellow card for S. Mella of Huachipato and one for F. Hormazabal of Universidad de Chile.
