Honduras Dominated Nicaragua in Tegucigalpa
Tegucigalpa witnessed a convincing victory for Honduras over Nicaragua at the Estadio José de la Paz Herrera Uclés, in a match corresponding to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The Honduran team imposed their game, maintaining 62% possession of the ball and generating more danger in the opponent’s area.
Despite a contested first half, the match tipped in favor of Honduras at the start of the second half with a goal from Romell Quioto in the 46th minute, assisted by Luis Palma. Honduran dominance was consolidated in the final minutes, with a goal from Alberth Elis in the 90th minute, unassisted.
