HNK Hajduk Split defeated Sibenik in a match played at Stadion Poljud in Split, corresponding to matchday 27 of the Croatian HNL league. The game, refereed by Ante Culina, was decided in favor of the home team thanks to a goal by Ivan Rakitic in the 59th minute. Although Hajduk dominated possession (71%), the match was marked by the expulsion of L. Cvek from Sibenik in the 57th minute, which changed the course of the game. Rakitic came close to scoring a second goal, but a goal was disallowed for offside in the 68th minute. Sibenik, with 29% possession, barely threatened the opposing goal with four shots, one of them on target. Hajduk, on the other hand, took 16 shots, 5 of them on target. A yellow card to R. Brajkovic in the 30th minute for Hajduk and a red card to Cvek for Sibenik marked a match that ended 1-0 in favor of the home team.
