HNK Gorica edged out NK Osijek with a narrow 1-0 victory in a tense match played at the ŠRC Velika Gorica stadium in Velika Gorica on February 8th. The game, part of round 21 of the Croatian HNL league, was characterized by a lack of discipline from both sides. The only goal of the match arrived in the 66th minute, courtesy of D. Mikanovic, who later received a yellow card in the 90th minute.
Possession was relatively even, with NK Osijek holding a slight edge (52% to Gorica’s 48%). Both teams created chances, but Gorica proved more clinical in front of goal (3 shots on target compared to Osijek’s 3).
