Celtic Overcomes Hibernian in Thrilling Edinburgh Encounter
Edinburgh witnessed an intense and hard-fought match between Celtic and Hibernian at Easter Road. Celtic secured the victory, although not without facing fierce resistance from the home side.
The match, corresponding to matchday 14 of the Scottish Premiership, was characterized by a high pace of play and numerous interruptions. Celtic, with 60% possession, dominated territorially and generated more scoring chances. D. Maeda opened the scoring in the 27th minute after an assist from R. Hatate, followed almost immediately by a goal from A. Engels in the 28th minute, extending Celtic’s lead.
However, Hibernian did not give up and sought to narrow the gap. M. Boyle converted a penalty in the 56th minute, giving hope to the home team. Despite this, the home team only achieved 40% possession and although they shot 9 times, only 4 were on target.
