Heracles Almelo defeated GO Ahead Eagles 4-3 in a thrilling match at the Asito Stadion in Almelo. Although GO Ahead Eagles had slightly more possession (51%), Heracles proved more clinical in front of goal. M. Suray opened the scoring for GO Ahead Eagles in the 31st minute, but Heracles quickly responded with a goal from B. De Keersmaecker in the 39th. In the second half, Heracles dominated, with S. Podgoreanu (72′) and D. Mirani (76′) extending their lead. L. Kulenovic (83′) added a final goal to secure the victory. GO Ahead Eagles fought back with goals from J. Breum (82′), but it wasn’t enough to prevent the defeat. Heracles created more goal-scoring opportunities (23 shots to 11), although both teams had a good shooting accuracy.
