Haugesund Triumphs Over Moss in Thrilling Eliteserien Match
Haugesund secured a victory against Moss in a hard-fought match at the Haugesund Sparebank Arena on December 8th, 2024. The game, part of the relegation round of the Norwegian Eliteserien, ended with a 2-0 scoreline.
The match started with an own goal by A. Hapnes for Haugesund in the 24th minute. S. Liseth doubled the lead for the home team with a goal in the 34th minute, assisted by S. Tounekti. Despite Moss enjoying more possession (54% to Haugesund’s 46%), they couldn’t break down the Haugesund defense. Both teams had 14 shots each, but Haugesund were more accurate with 8 on target compared to Moss’s 6.
The second half was a tense affair. Moss received two yellow cards and a red card for K. Harrison, while Haugesund received one yellow card. Despite their numerical disadvantage in the closing stages, Haugesund held on to their lead until the final whistle. The match was officiated by Rohit Saggi from Norway.
