Buriram United Edges Out Gwangju FC in Thrilling AFC Champions League Match
Buriram United secured a 2-3 victory over Gwangju FC in a captivating AFC Champions League match held at the Gwangju World Cup Stadium in Gwangju on February 18th, 2025. Despite Gwangju FC dominating possession (61%), Buriram United proved more clinical in front of goal.
Bissoli opened the scoring for Buriram United in the 13th minute, assisted by S. Mueanta. M. Boakye doubled their lead in the 35th minute, with an assist from Bissoli. Gwangju FC fought back in the second half, with Oh Hoo-Sung netting two goals, one in the 68th minute assisted by Park In-Hyeok and another in the 74th minute. However, Buriram United held on to claim a hard-fought victory.
The match was a fiercely contested affair, with 15 fouls committed by each team. Three yellow cards were shown, one to Kim Jin-Ho (Gwangju FC) and two to Buriram United players (M. Boakye and S.
