Groningen Rout Waalwijk in Thrilling Euroborg Encounter
Groningen secured a resounding 7-1 victory over Waalwijk at the Euroborg stadium in Groningen, Netherlands. The match, part of the 2024 Eredivisie’s 31st round, was officiated by Serdar Gozubuyuk and showcased Groningen’s dominant attacking prowess.
L. Bacuna opened the scoring for Groningen with a penalty in the 7th minute. S. Resink added another goal in the 45th minute, and N. Emeran quickly extended the lead in the 46th minute, assisted by L. Valente. Resink scored again in the 50th minute, followed by a goal from T. van Bergen in the 60th minute. While Waalwijk managed to pull one back through G. Roemeratoe in the 67th minute, Groningen sealed the victory with a late goal by M. Seuntjens in the 90th minute, assisted by B. Willumsson.
