Grimsby Stages Comeback Victory Against Milton Keynes Dons in Thrilling Match
Cleethorpes witnessed a vibrant match at Blundell Park, where Grimsby secured an important victory after staging a comeback against Milton Keynes Dons. The match, corresponding to matchday 30 of League Two, was marked by intensity and constant midfield battles.
Milton Keynes Dons took the lead with a goal from C. Paterson from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute, followed by a goal from M. Ekpiteta in the 28th minute, seemingly taking control of the game. However, Grimsby showed resilience.
In the second half, J. Kabia emerged as the key figure for Grimsby, scoring in the 64th minute and again in the 72nd minute, the latter assisted by R. Staunton, to seal the comeback and give his team the victory.
While Milton Keynes Dons dominated in fouls (14 against 6), Grimsby knew how to take advantage of their greater ball possession (61% against 39%) and effectiveness in front of goal.
