FC Zurich defeated Grasshoppers 2-1 in a thrilling match at the Stadion Letzigrund in Zurich. The game, corresponding to matchday 29 of the Swiss Super League, was dominated by FC Zurich, who held 59% possession and had 23 shots, 12 of them on target. Zurich’s goals came in the 45th and 69th minutes, scored by J. Gbamin and B. Krasniqi respectively. Krasniqi also received a yellow card in the 84th minute. Another Zurich player, B. Mendy, also received a yellow card in the 32nd minute. Grasshoppers, on the other hand, scored one goal in the 82nd minute thanks to A. Bojang, but their lack of attacking efficiency (only 2 shots on target out of 10 attempts) and lower possession (41%) prevented them from achieving a better result. M. Choiniere and T. Veron received yellow cards for the visiting team, in the 51st and 70th minutes respectively. Despite the loss, Grasshoppers created 4 corners and had 10 shots.
