Eibar defeated Granada CF with a convincing 2-0 victory in a match played at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes in Granada. Although Granada CF controlled possession (56%), Eibar proved more clinical in front of goal. The visitors scored two goals, the first in the 61st minute by J. Corpas, assisted by A. Puertas, and the second in the 68th minute thanks to J. Guruzeta, also assisted by A. Puertas. Granada CF, on the other hand, had 14 shots, but only 3 were on target. A yellow card for A. Arbilla (Eibar) in the 63rd minute and for M. Brau (Granada CF) in the 84th minute were the only disciplinary incidents of the encounter. Despite the scoreline, it was a hard-fought match with both teams showing determination and looking for goals.
