Besiktas defeated Goztepe 2-1 in a thrilling match played at the Gürsel Aksel Stadyumu in İzmir on April 19th, 2025, as part of the 32nd round of the Turkish Süper Lig. Despite fewer shots on target (2-6), Besiktas proved more efficient. Rafa Silva opened the scoring in the 10th minute, assisted by M. Rashica. Goztepe equalized at the start of the second half with a goal from I. Koybasi (46th minute). However, Besiktas maintained control of the game, eventually securing a victory with greater possession (55%). The match was marked by tension, with a total of four yellow cards, two for each team in the final 20 minutes. While Goztepe generated more scoring chances (16 shots to Besiktas’ 7), the visitors’ accuracy proved decisive in securing the three points.
