Górnik Zabrze Wins with an Own Goal in Dominating Performance Against Cracovia
Górnik Zabrze defeated Cracovia Krakow 1-0 in a match played at the Stadion im. Ernesta Pohla in Zabrze, corresponding to matchday 23 of the Polish Ekstraklasa. The game, played on February 28th, 2025, was marked by the overwhelming dominance of the home team, who controlled 66% of the possession and had 22 shots on goal, although with little accuracy. The winning goal came in the 58th minute via an own goal by Cracovia’s R. Janicki.
Despite Górnik’s superiority, the match was not without tension. D. Sarapata and D. Szala received yellow cards for Górnik in the 39th and 49th minutes respectively, while M.
