Girona Succumbs to Levante in a Tension-Filled Match
Girona, September 20, 2025 – The Estadi Municipal de Montilivi witnessed a resounding victory for Levante over Girona, in a match marked by intensity and controversy. Levante prevailed with a final score of 4 to 0, demonstrating superiority in ball possession (65% compared to Girona’s 35%) and effectiveness in attack.
The match was plagued with cards. Girona accumulated four yellow cards and two expulsions, which greatly hampered their game. A. Witsel saw the red card in the 30th minute, leaving the team at a numerical disadvantage for much of the match. The second expulsion, to Vitor Reis, came at the beginning of the second half. Levante, meanwhile, received three cautions.
