Gençlerbirliği and Ümraniyespor played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Eryaman Stadyumu in Ankara. The match, part of the Turkish 1. Lig’s 33rd round in the 2024 season, was played on April 10th, 2025 and refereed by Fatih Tokail. Both teams enjoyed equal possession, with 50% each.
Ümraniyespor took the lead through C. Soukou’s goal in the 59th minute (assisted by A. Babacan), following a missed penalty by Benny in the 50th minute. However, Gençlerbirliği fought back in the closing stages with two late goals; first, a strike from S. Osmanoglu in the 89th minute, and then another from D. Popa in the 90th minute (assisted by F. Uzum).
The match was a feisty affair, characterized by numerous fouls and cards. Gençlerbirliği received two yellow cards (M. Nalepa and A. Babacan), while Ümraniyespor picked up four yellow cards (L.
