Draw at Gamla Ullevi Between GAIS and Östers IF
Gothenburg, Sweden – In a hard-fought match at Gamla Ullevi, GAIS and Östers IF drew in a game corresponding to matchday 29 of the Allsvenskan 2025. Under the watchful eye of referee Victor Wolf, the match, held on November 2nd, saw GAIS dominate possession with 63%, although without being able to translate it into a clear superiority on the scoreboard.
GAIS took the lead in the 24th minute thanks to a goal by I. Diabate, assisted by R. Niklasson. However, Östers IF leveled the score in the 40th minute with a goal by D. Ljung.
Despite generating a large number of shots, 28 in total, GAIS only managed to direct two of them on target, showing a lack of accuracy. For its part, Östers IF, with 37% possession, was more effective in its attempts, although also with few direct shots at the rival goal (3). The match was also characterized by a high number of fouls, 11 committed by GAIS and 17 by Östers IF, as well as several cards. K. Gyamfi (Östers IF) received a yellow card in the 57th minute, while A. Cardaklija (GAIS) and R. Wendin (GAIS) were cautioned in the 64th and 70th minutes respectively. The match reached its climax in the 90th minute with the expulsion of M. Adolfsson (Östers IF), leaving his team with ten men in the final minutes. In the end, the score did not move any further and the match ended in a draw.
