Gais defeated IFK Varnamo 2-1 in a thrilling match played at Gamla Ullevi in Gothenburg, corresponding to round 8 of the 2025 Allsvenskan. Oliver Agren opened the scoring for Gais in the 8th minute, assisted by R. Wendin. However, IFK Varnamo managed to equalize the game in the 65th minute thanks to a goal by J. Kalu, assisted by S. Thern. The match was intense, with numerous yellow cards: three for Gais (Agren, Milovanovic and Lindberg) and two for IFK Varnamo (Larsson and Kalu).
