Fulham Defeats Bristol City in a Match Held at Craven Cottage
London, England – In a match corresponding to the second round of the League Cup, Fulham defeated Bristol City at Craven Cottage, in a match dominated by the home side in terms of possession, with 59% compared to their rival’s 41%.
The score was opened early, in the 8th minute, with an own goal by G. Tanner of Bristol City, after an unfortunate play with an assistance by none. Fulham’s lead was extended in the 21st minute thanks to a goal by Raúl Jiménez, assisted by H. Reed.
Despite the dominance in possession, Fulham couldn’t convert their superiority into a larger number of goals. Bristol City, although with less possession, tried to react and had several corners (8 in total) to create danger.
The match also had moments of tension, reflected in a yellow card for T. Castagne of Fulham in the 39th minute. In terms of shots, Fulham had 10 attempts, of which 4 were on target, while Bristol City only made 7, without managing any on target.
