France Overpowers Wales in St. Gallen
St. Gallen, Switzerland – The French women’s national team showcased their dominance by defeating Wales in a match held at kybunpark. The game, part of the group stage of the UEFA Women’s Championship 2025, saw France impose themselves with a strong offensive performance.
The scoring opened early, in the 8th minute, with a goal by C. Mateo for France. However, Wales quickly responded with a goal by J. Fishlock in the 13th minute, assisted by C. Holland. The first half was intense, with a penalty converted by K. Diani in the 45th minute, giving France the lead before halftime.
In the second half, France consolidated their dominance with goals from A. Majri in the 53rd minute, assisted by C. Mateo, and G. Geyoro in the 63rd minute, assisted by K. Diani. Despite the efforts of Wales, France controlled the game and maintained high ball possession. The match was also marked by yellow cards for both teams, reflecting the intensity of the clash.
