Fluminense suffered a 2-1 defeat against RB Bragantino in a thrilling match played at the Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho in Rio de Janeiro on April 6th, 2025, as part of the second round of the 2025 Brazilian Serie A. Despite having less possession (45% vs 55%), Fluminense managed more shots on target (5 to 5). Lima opened the scoring for Fluminense in the 35th minute, assisted by A. Canobbio. However, Bragantino fought back in the second half, with I. Pitta scoring in the 84th minute and Martinelli adding a late goal to secure the victory.
