Draw in Rio: Fluminense and Lanús Share Honors in the Sudamericana
Rio de Janeiro witnessed a hard-fought match between Fluminense and Lanús, which culminated in a one-one draw in the first leg of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana quarter-finals. The match, played at the Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, under the arbitration of Venezuelan Jesús Valenzuela, was marked by intensity and constant struggle in midfield.
Fluminense dominated possession with a resounding 71%, constantly seeking the rival goal. In the 20th minute, A. Canobbio, assisted by L. Acosta, opened the scoring for the home team with a goal that thrilled the fans. However, the lead would not last forever.
