Crvena Zvezda defeated Partizan in a thrilling Belgrade derby at the Stadion Rajko Mitić. The match, corresponding to round 24 of the 2024 Serbian Super Liga, ended with a score of 4-3.
Partizan took the early lead with a goal from Z. Ibrahim in the 8th minute. However, Crvena Zvezda turned the game around in the second half with two goals from C. Ndiaye (minutes 46 and 51), assisted by A. Maksimovic and T. Elsnik respectively. S. Kovac pulled one back for Partizan in the 59th minute, but M. Ivanic extended Crvena Zvezda’s lead in the 62nd minute. Partizan scored a penalty in added time through N. Nikolic, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the defeat.
Crvena Zvezda’s dominance was reflected in their possession (64%) and higher number of shots on target (5 to 3). Partizan committed more fouls (16 to 12), while Crvena Zvezda received one yellow card, and Partizan three.
