Feyenoord Thrashes Heerenveen in Dominant Display
Rotterdam, November 23, 2024 – Feyenoord convincingly defeated Heerenveen in a Eredivisie matchday 13 clash at the Stadion Feijenoord. The match, officiated by Jeroen Manschot, ended in a 3-0 victory for the home side, who controlled the game throughout.
Feyenoord dominated possession (58%) and created numerous scoring chances, registering 14 shots (5 on target). The goals came in the 24th minute through J. Carranza (assisted by I. Paixao), in the 35th minute thanks to A. Hadj Moussa, and finally in the 78th minute with I. Paixao (assisted by G. Zechiel) sealing the victory. Despite their dominance, Feyenoord only committed 2 fouls during the match.
Heerenveen, on the other hand, barely threatened the Feyenoord goal, managing only 2 shots (1 on target), demonstrating poor attacking efficiency. The visiting team committed 6 fouls and received two yellow cards, one for O. Braude in the 47th minute and another for S. Kersten in the 57th minute. Heerenveen’s lack of cutting edge and Feyenoord’s superiority were decisive factors in the final result.
