Puskas Academy Secures Victory in Intense Hungarian Derby at Groupama Aréna
Budapest witnessed a thrilling encounter at the Groupama Aréna, where Puskas Academy prevailed over Ferencvarosi TC in a match corresponding to the fourth round of the 2025 NB I season. Despite Ferencvarosi TC’s dominance in ball possession, with 64% compared to Puskas Academy’s 36%, it was the latter who managed to capitalize on their opportunities.
Puskas Academy opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a goal by D. Lukacs, assisted by L. Duarte. Ferencvarosi TC responded promptly, with Cadu leveling the score in the 24th minute. The match remained tight and contested in midfield.
In the second half, in the 71st minute, D. Lukacs scored again for Puskas Academy, this time assisted by A. Favorov, sealing the victory for his team. Despite generating a greater number of shots (19 against 13) and having more shots on target (10 against 5), Ferencvarosi TC was unable to convert their opportunities.
