Olympique Lyonnais convincingly defeated FCSB 3-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie, played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The French team clearly dominated the match, reflected in their possession of the ball (66% vs 34%).
Tagliafico opened the scoring for the visitors in the 30th minute, assisted by Mikautadze. Baluta managed to equalize for FCSB in the 68th minute, assisted by Radunovic. However, Lyon’s superiority became evident in the final stages of the match. Fofana, with two goals in the 86th and 89th minutes, both assisted by Cherki, sealed the victory for the French side.
