FCSB thrashes Dinamo Bucuresti in a thrilling match at Arena Naţională
Bucureşti, May 5, 2025 – FCSB secured a convincing 3-1 victory over rivals Dinamo Bucuresti in a thrilling Liga I Championship Round matchday 7 clash. The game, played at the Arena Naţională in front of a large crowd, was characterized by FCSB’s clinical finishing and Dinamo’s accumulation of yellow cards.
David Birligea opened the scoring for FCSB in the 23rd minute, assisted by J. Cisotti. Ovidiu Popescu extended the lead with two more goals, one in the 26th minute (assisted by M. Popescu) and another in the 36th minute (assisted by J. Cisotti). Although A. Selmani scored a penalty for Dinamo in the 56th minute, a comeback was never on the cards. FCSB dominated goal-scoring opportunities (7 shots, 4 on target) despite Dinamo enjoying slightly more possession (51%). The match was littered with fouls and yellow cards, five for Dinamo (A. Pop, R. Oprut, S. Perica, J. Homawoo and A. Selmani) and none for FCSB.
